Brasa Challenge rules

1 Brasa found = 1 free pizza. A Brasa — a virtual gold coin — is hidden somewhere in a public place. The first person to find it wins it. Here are the rules of the game.

1. Who runs the game?

Restaurant Brasa, 198 Route de Ferrié, 47140 Penne d'Agenais (hereafter "the restaurant"). Contact: info@restaurant-brasa.fr — 05 53 36 66 46.

Apple and Google are neither organisers, sponsors nor partners of this game, and are not associated with it in any way. Any question or complaint should be addressed to the restaurant.

2. A free game, no purchase necessary

Taking part costs nothing and requires no purchase, whether at the restaurant or elsewhere. Your usual connection and travel costs remain yours to bear.

3. Who can play?

  • Any adult. A minor may play with the consent of a parent, who accompanies them and remains responsible for them.
  • You need a free Brasa account with a valid email address and phone number: they are used to contact the winner.
  • One account per person.
  • The restaurant team and their close relatives may play for fun, but cannot win.

4. How to play

  • The game is played in the Brasa app (iPhone) or on the restaurant-brasa.fr website (Android). It uses your phone's location and camera, with your permission.
  • The map shows a search area. Inside it, the app tells you whether you are getting warmer or colder.
  • Very close to the Brasa, the camera opens: the coin appears where it is hidden. Walk up to it and grab it.
  • The first player to grab it wins. Our server has the final say: it checks your location at the moment of capture, and if two players arrive almost together, the attempt recorded first wins.
  • Several Brasas may be in play at the same time, including in different towns.

5. What you win

  • Each Brasa is worth one pizza of your choice from the restaurant's menu.
  • The winner receives a personal code (in the form BRASA-XXXX), shown in the app, valid for 90 days from the capture.
  • The pizza is collected at the restaurant, during opening hours, on presentation of the code. It is best to let us know you are coming.
  • The prize is personal: it cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for cash or another product. After 90 days, it is forfeited.
  • One prize at a time: until your pizza has been collected, you cannot catch another Brasa. Once served, you can play again.

6. Your safety first

Brasas are always hidden in public, freely accessible places. No Brasa will ever ask you to enter private property, a building, a building site or a fenced field, or to go near water, a road or a railway line.

  • Look around you, not just at your screen. Never play while driving, cycling or riding a scooter.
  • Respect the highway code, private property, local residents, nature and the opening hours of places.
  • If a Brasa appears to be somewhere inaccessible or dangerous (GPS is not perfect), do not go there and let us know: we will move it.

You play at your own risk. The restaurant cannot be held liable for any accident, damage or offence occurring during a game.

7. Fair play

The following are forbidden: fake GPS locations, emulators, bots, multiple accounts, and any scheme designed to get around the rules. In the event of cheating or serious doubt, the restaurant may cancel a capture, withdraw a prize and close the account concerned.

8. What the restaurant may decide

The restaurant is free to choose when and where to hide Brasas. It may move or remove one, and suspend or end the game at any time, in particular for safety reasons or a technical problem, without this giving rise to any compensation. Prizes already won remain valid until their expiry date.

The game depends on GPS, the network and your phone: the restaurant cannot guarantee that it works everywhere, all the time, on every device.

9. Your data

Your location is not recorded during the game — only that of a capture attempt is, to determine the winner. Camera images never leave your phone. A winner's first name may be shown to other players. Everything is detailed in our privacy policy.

10. Rules and disputes

By playing, you accept these rules. They may change: the version in force is the one on this page, as of the date shown at the top. They are governed by French law. In the event of a disagreement, write to us first at info@restaurant-brasa.fr: we will look for an amicable solution.
